Oakham Canal

After living only a few miles from the canal for 30 years I decided to take a look for the first time ! went down on the 16th in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised, although coloured there were Carp cruising about and the not a person fishing, the canal is in two sections with a very weedy/rush section in the middle, I only looked at the bit shown. It's controlled by Oakham AS and for an oldie it's only £10 per season ! so I've bought a permit and will have a few hours soon, according to the tackle shop there are some good Roach and Bream present.
