Protect the Lambourn
Hi all, if you are not already aware, sadly this delightful little chalk stream is under threat of being used as a sewer to cater for the needs of a new development. Absolutely disgraceful. Howard Marshall would be turning in his grave at the prospect. There is an online petition which takes literally seconds to complete. Just Google Protect The Lambourn and lend your support even if like myself you are unlikely to fish there ever.

Re: Protect the Lambourn
Appalling news. Just what was the EA thinking about when it approved this change to the development plans?

Re: Protect the Lambourn
Although I am never likely to fish the Lambourn I have willingly signed the petition and emailed all my friends. I urge all TFF members to sign and to share the petition with anyone interested in angling, wildlife or the countryside, if they haven't already done so.
If we cannot protect such a unique and important river habitat then what hope is there for protecting the rest of the UK rivers, let alone the poor rivers of Yorkshire! This could be the thin end of the wedge.
Please sign and share!

Already signed. One of my favourite rivers. I have fished it for the last few years. The locals have worked so hard to keep it clean and well managed.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.
