"Little Grey Men" won a Carnegie Medal for BB.

I've always liked the story and live in hope that someone will make it into a feature movie in much the way as JRR Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" has been.

Peter Jackson?

BB, in my opinion is an extremely underrated writer.

Brendon Chase was my son's bedtime story when he was nine, and I was worried when he went off to cub camp. Rifle-shooting was on the list of activities, and I had visions of him pouching a box of slugs, grabbing a .22 and vanishing to become the Beast of Borehamwood.

Indeed Indeed ....My favourite and in so many ways. Writing, Art and the feel for the country and nature. Very well summed up in the quote in Marks sign off, the word sum up nicely most of his pictures in my opinion. Also ....Oh so much but the absence of perfection( not the rod Mr Vole) kinda sums it up.

I read Brendon Chase too....And there was far more than a .22 in the Gun cupboard.

BB's Carp float......Fancy that 1 float!
