I just thought I'd add this photo to this thread. This was the first fish to fall to the 'Forty Fore' since I purchased it, a 20lb+ Redmire common, one of ten carp I caught from the pool last week. Cracking session and a cracking rod, it performed impeccably. Far nicer than my B.James in fact.

What a beautiful fish, congrats. Steve Boncey has restored several rods and some reels for me. As well as the quality of his work he is a thoroughly decent and nice chap. :Thumb:
