The publication launch for this important book will be on 24th March 2012 at the Lands End Inn, Twyford, Nr Reading from 12 noon onwards.

The book is a tribute to Steve Edwards and a compilation of true tales about him from some of the most famous carp anglers in the country. Steve sadly died of cancer in 2010 and profits from the book will go to the Macmillan Cancer Trust. Much of the book is funny - at times hilarious and much of it at the expense of the contributors or of Steve himself. Steve was a well known and well loved angler from Kent who mainly fished for carp but caught specimens of many species. The list of personalities writing in this book shows what esteem he was held in.

By reputation Steve was the best short session angler around and Chris Ball writes: "Jim Gibbinson was once asked who he would nominate to catch a fish if his life depended on it. " I guess you know Jim's answer..

Many of the contributors will be present at the launch to sign copies of the book.

I never actually met Steve, but he was the 'brains' behind a lot of stuff on inthenetuk, Adrians 'old tackle' site.

He was also a prodigious antique tackle collector and discovered some fantastic rare gear over the years.
