There might be better rods out there but none better'er than a Wizard.

You might consider a B.James Grebe, 8'-6" two piece, nice through action and I'd guess a T/C of around 12 - 16 ozs.

Good afternoon,I think that a suitable rod to fit the bill might be an Avondale or the Minidale made by Aspindale .The whole cane models would be a tad lighter but I'm not sure if they would be more tip action rather than a though action,l did once see a 10ft Milwards Floatrover but I'm not sure if that was ever a model listed by them.Keep well Reelmaker.

Hi, I’ve got a walkers of hythe light Avon of just under a pound test curve I had made up as a bespoke rod in the 1980’s. Lovely piece of cane.

Not easy to find but Fosters of Ashbourne's "The Roach" or the "The Perfection Roach" are lovely rods.Yhe T/C is just under a lb.

Hi. What about a Record Breaker or lucky strike. Both 10'6'' and nice and light. About 12oz TC. I prefer the record breaker personally as it has nicer fittings.
