I'm with you GOS, 've never understood the concept of offset hooks. i make that 50/50 that the hook goes in, and thats not good enough odds in my book!!!! :think:

No - but a friend swears by them for catching big perch on livebaits. I gather you have to tighten rather than strike to get the best out of them.

If you strike you miss every time, just tighten up. Have been experimenting with them for chub and perch. Superb under the right circumstances. Great for sea fishing as well. Give them a try for those 'unhitable' chub bites and keep the results to yourself.

Those home made ones look a bit vicious. More like something from the neolithic!
