A Top man is Chris, that day he kindly invited us to visit his carp room and my jaw dropped at his collection of historic tackle and angling tales and to actually hold THE rod! He made several hours pass in what felt like just minutes, a day I will never forget.
I've been attempting to get back into shape these past few months and on long boring sessions on the rowing machine, I've been listening to past Desert Island Discs, for my luxury item I would take Chris because I'm sure he could tell wonderful fishing tales forever.

Well deserved, and the carp is truly superb :Hat:
Are those dog biscuits by the carp ? - I know Chris really likes surface fishing.

Julian, I think you'll find that they are floating trout pellets.

Congratulations Chris, you deserve it mate for your work in the carp angling world over the years and being a driving force in keeping people aware of our carp fishing heritage.

All I can do is back up what has been said above. One of the most hyperactive and enthusiastic anglers I have met. I bet he was a right hand full as a kid!

Love the quiz questions he fires at me when we meet, he knows my love of carp angling history. My claim to fame was 26 out of 25 in a carp fishing quiz once. One of the questions was the name given to Richard walkers record carp.

I put my hand up and asked if it was the name given to it by 'Dick' or the name given to it by London Zoo.

I was told there would be a bonus point for anyone naming both :Thumb:
