Thank you. Top rod is a WA Allcocks Adonis and the bottom rod is a prototype which was made in Germany.
I am amazed that an Adonis was up to handling a Barbel of that size! :Hat:

Its taken much bigger barbel. Here's one of them.

Good luck Snape, I'm very much looking forward to getting covered in mud and scratched from head to toe amongst the brambles and branches. Yes I must be mad :doh:

LD, I've always said that I don't like any specimen fish to fight hard, if I can help it. I used to think other anglers would look down at me for saying that, until another said exactly the same thing to me. This particular barbel did exactly that, it was tug of war in such a tight spot. Be nice to catch it again later on in the season.
