Having just folked out nearly £100 for an original Widedrum Speedia, I realise this thread came just a few days too late for me to come consider a brand new replica. A tragedy of timing! So I just hope my original will actually spin.

That's not a bad price in these crazy days, Trevor, particularly if it has the spring tension adjuster.....they often fetch £130-140 with that.



The new JW Young Atom is £400 yes, but most of the rest are around £250. Which makes £400 for the 'Wensum' a tad dear to my mind.

Not sure what's going on with the Atom....it's not even on their website...???? But I do notice it copies the Speedia centrepin spindle.....

Website up, reels arrived, very pleased fishes realy well. 19 of the 50 left.

I picked mine up from Ian the other day ,very pleased with mine seen here with its ancestor's ,fits in rather well.
