Reel identification

Post by MaggotDrowner »

Can any of you fishing reel experts out there tell me what this reel is? Company, age, etc.

Thanks guys. :hat:

I'd plump for a Japanese built, American reel, such as a Roddy.

I note the bail arm is closed by striking the stem of the reel like an Intrepid....not the finest engineering.

Greentura, I agree. I used to have one which was very similar, even down to the colour

Woolies did indeed source the majority of their reels from the USA, but I'm fairly certain that they were all Japanese made. Another contender would be a Karmann. Despite the name, they too were Jap-American made.

Looks very similar to a reel that came with my Daiwa spinning kit back in about 1972

Not a quality reel then. I will not bother then. It's going cheap on ebay.
