Moria furnace

Post by Homer Simpson »

Last week we ventured to Moria furnace and walked up to Conkers . The canal looks a bit lifeless at the moment but guess it’s just the time of the year.
We might go again when the weather warms up a bit as it looks easy walking thereabouts.
Anyone fished the canal nearby?

Edit: I’m aware that it isn’t connected to the canal proper these days.

I have not fished the Ashby Canal for years Jim, I use to like Shakerstone, Stoke Golding and the Carlton stretches and what they called the black hole but can't quite remember where that was, possibly Fenny Drayton?
