Is anyone with a Chapman 500 or 550 able to let me know the length of the tip section please?
Many thanks

3' 11" for the 550 and 4' for the 500 if I remember correctly, but the info is on Chapmanblanks.

I have just measured the top section of my 550 and it is exactly 48" from underside of male ferrule to top of the tip ring.

My 500 De-Luxe (rings re-whipped)
48 and 4/16s inches from underside of male ferrule to top of tip ring.
My 500 (a kit rod I believe with a ring number and spacing that matches neither the 500 nor the 500 De-Luxe)
48 and 1/2 inches.
Although the 2 tip rings are of similar design (bar the De-Luxe being lined) and they appear to be precisely the same size. Looking closely, the 500 appears to have 4/16ths more cane!
