It's good to hear of good runs of these magnificent trout. Many of the usually dependable sea trout rivers we fish have not had a good year so far - we hope they're ljust very late, but it doesn't bode well, although these things are often cyclical. Others have done well thankfully, including some not known as such. Nature fills a void and all that, something that the trout species are particularly good at thankfully
I wonder how the Welsh rivers have performed?

I have found the past few weeks with decent water, that I have caught more than my fair share of these wonderful fish, but most are on the small side round a pound plus with occasional 2lb fish, sadly there is so much pollution on my river when the water drops after a rise it, leaves the rocks covered in black slime. It’s an utter disgrace. When sewage isn’t going in other types of crap are sprayed on riverside fields.
