Abu 66 & 66x how do you tell them apart

Also, was the 66x and 66 available at the same time?

Just to update this thread, my two 66's have the larger knob on the handle this would indicate a newer version rather than it is a 66X model.

I thought the 'x' denoted a faster retrieve rate. I love the 44,66 and 77 abu reels and wish I hadn't sold the pair of 77's I had for carping in the early 80's but shiny new bait runners had caught my eye by the start of the 90's still got a 44x that lives on my 500 most of the time now
