Notts/East Midlands crucian venue

Post by RobGoodwin »

Hello all
Other that a handful of small crucians (4-8 oz) caught from a commercial day ticket water, I have never caught a decent crucian. Can anyone suggest a venue in the Notts/East Mids are where I might be in with a chance of contacting one and how I might go about this?
Best regards, Rob

Hi Rod, Good question...I have a ticket for SUSAC - Sheffield Uni at Hassop, near Bakewell. There are allegedly Crucians in both ponds, but I've never caught one. However, there are no carp, but are some lovely tench. Wonderful place to fish. Let me know if you find any other venues. Regards Cat

Would love to know this too.

There is good crucian fishing at Stockton Res, near Leamington Spa. It's about an hour fron where I am but I find it's worth the trip occasionally.

Crucians but some (rather large) king carp too!
"I'd rather be fishing!"

There is Ravenfield ponds not far, a cracking and traditional venue. Failing that Scunny have some good water and large crucians on thier books.
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.

Evening Gents,
It may be worth contacting the following as they stocked this venue with crucians maybe 4-5 seasons ago.
