Worms.

Post by Catfish.017 »

Fishing at Alrewas yesterday morning a chap I talk to frequently stopped again for a natter. Seeing I was using worms he asked if I used them often. I replied in the affirmative and added that I had caught everything that swims in freshwater on them plus some Sea species too.. Walking the dog this morning, my thoughts went back to the conversation and the validity of the statement; I realised there was one glaring omission, Grayling! This mainly through lack of opportunity and it's almost certainly the species I've caught fewest of in my lengthy career. Everything else from Sticklebacks up to Pike I've caught on the humble worm. Hopefully when the Trent fines down I can add the final piece to the jigsaw? Does anyone else have a complete set of species caught on worms or indeed any other bait.
My first ever Bass fell to a garden worm and I've had Flounders on them too. Large Mouth Bass and Crappies in the States and Gilthead Bream in the Med.
