Light Pike Rod 7ft

Hi. Does anyone know if J. B. Walker of Hythe Kent ever made a Split Cane rod or kit for a 7ft Light Pike Rod. I've seen such a rod although not marked J.B.Walker, but its components parts appear to be like ones used on their rods ?

Hi David, yes they made a 7ft "Stellar" Light Caster kit rod which was available in light or medium action.



Strangely enough, I have recently finished making a carp rod from a 8ft "Stellar Senior" kit which was bought through a local tackle shop from J B Walkers but never completed. I have made it into a 10ft rod similar to the 550 but slightly more powerful. Hoping to try it out this year.

Hi Wal. Sorry I did not thank you for replying to my question about a possible J B Walker light pike rod. I have been out of action for some time with health issues. Thank you for the information about the rod. Most !! interesting. Thanks again.
