Eighteen foot four piece hollow cane roach pole

Post by Troydog »

Whilst in France this week a friend gave me the rod described. He only fishes for carp, zander and sturgeon so he has never used his grandfather’s rod.
How do I set it up so I don’t break it please?
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......

Take it to Woody Tim. When he stops laughing he'll sort you out. I assume it has an eye at the tip so it'll be pretty straight forward :Hat:

If it has an eye at the end, you could tie a length of no 6 elastic to it and attach a stonfo connector to it and then attach your float rig to that...
Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

Tim, I'll teach you how to use a thames roach pole, I just tie 18" of power gum to mine to take out shock, I have used mine well for roach and perch, especially perch with the flat float is great fun.
I took it in to woody, and he loved it👍
