Sounds like the spindle is nice and secure. Another thing to try is loosen the two screws which hold plastic hub cap in place, just half a turn each, then give reel a good wind back and forth. Now tighten the screws again. It can just be slightly out of alignment and that sometimes cures an intermittent rubbing noise.
