I visited french fishing tackle fair near St Cirq Lapopie in the beautiful Lot valley this morning. It wasn't a large event but I found 3 Mitchell reels that were worth buying. There was a chap selling restored cane fly rods and I was quite impressed with the quality of his work.

Looks the kind of place where it would be easy to mooch around for a couple of hours . A bit of a car boot as well.
Hopefully the language of angling would be understood universally .
