From what one of my horticultural college lecturers told me we have 26 species of earthworm in the UK and only 2 of them produce worm casts

Worms are remarkable creatures, did anybody catch the lovely Lucy Lapwing on Winterwatch, she talked about them in one of her appearances.
It's the Gippsland earthworm, apparently they grow to 6ft in length :tea: "we're going to need a bigger hook"

Worm finding In my compost bin was hard going this morning ready for the wally tomorrow,do gongs like punched bread?

I'm bringing some bread in case maggots don't tempt the fish, but it will have to be small bits of flake as I don't have a punch. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone - I think! 🤣
