Yes - - two with my LRHs. There is a pocket on mine in the flap for the spanner for the screw winch fitting.

And yes H 22466 is 1959.

I am led to understand that G was for rods of 'mixed materials' - so whole cane (bamboo)/split cane or whole cane(bamboo)/greenheart or greenheart/hickory.

Does anyone have a Hardy’s rod bag similar to the one my rod came with?
Yes Dave, that is the correct bag for the period, I had a wanless with the same bag and my 1964 roach perfection has the same bag too.

Look at earlier posts, there’s a list of manufacturing dates.

Hope this helps.

Yes - Graham Turners' - Fishing Tackle - The Ultimate Collectors Guide has a complete list - subject to one or two slight discrepancies.
It also has all the original dating system.

Please note that the letter ''G'' denotes any rod make of 'mixed materials' - - ie not completely made from split cane!
And started in 1927 so rods built prior may be included in the preceding system.

Thank you Wal. Is that from Graham Turner's book? Edit: I've found a 44 page pdf that appears to have this info on.

Also, does such a list exist for Allcocks rods, as I was considering knocking one together?
Hi Rod, not sure where it came from, just something I found a few years ago on the internet.

There is a list on this very forum naming Allcocks rods but I dont think the years of manufacture, section numbers and materials used is included so a new list would be a great idea. It will take a lot of doing but I am sure we could all help with catalogue descriptions etc.
I suppose the best place to start would be the rod name and list them alphabetically. Let me know if I can help.

I could photocopy the 8 page list - - could someone then volunteer to put them on the Forum?
