Wonderful article there Mark thanks for sharing it.
My own piking has unfortunately had to take a backseat this winter due to two family bereavements in quick succession…but hopefully I’ll be re-enthused next season… :Thumb: .

Feeling for you Rob, not nice.
We had the same last year and our old Cat put to rest a week ago.,. Takes its toll Rob.
But.. better times to come mate for sure.
Glad you enjoyed the post.
Old Mr Pye must have been a bit of a character!
And.,. He kept it simple, your kind of man.. and mine.
Take it easy and enjoy your fire and good ale.

Mark
The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

Glad your enjoying the post TFF Angler's.
On a year's mission to track down a Dennis Pye Pike Rod..

Mr B.
Ps.. I wonder if his fish and chip shop is still a fish and chip shop? ( I doubt it)
We have been great to get a bag of chips after a days Piking.
