Constable's of Bromley - Forty Fore

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

I have a Constable's of Bromley 'Forty Fore' carp rod and despite searching through my books and the internet for information there would appear to be very little available either on the company or Clifford Constable himself. I have read the various posts on this forum and found the details interesting and informative though the information i seek seems to be somewhat elusive.

Could i ask if there is anyone on here that knows what date the first 'Forty Fore' was produced and if there have been any further variants to the format/appearance of the rod during its years of production as i have another rod that purports to be a 'Forty Fore' in its physical appearance but not in the badging of the rod. i thought at first it may have been another manufacturer's version but when compared with the actual there are many similarities.
