Manufrance warning float

Post by Coral Maestro »

I came across this intriguing float on a french website and thought it might be of interest.

From kostos.fr website

"Manufrance automatic warning float. Red and green painted copper with spring, perfectly functioning rocker trigger mechanism. When the fish is caught, the fisherman is warned by the appearance of a small tricolor flag."

I love the little french flag that signals the bite. I wonder if they did versions for different nationalities?
What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

Fantastic, I love that! Mind you perhaps being French the flag should be a white one?  :surrender:

I think I might just about get away with that joke having French Huguenot blood…. :Scared:

So when it goes right under, you say, 'A bas le tricolore.'
