Ledger weight

Post by Homer Simpson »

Here’s my brass three pin plug weight

The bit of dowel is a kebab skewer .
I put the small swivel into the “screw hole “ and drive (hammer) the dowel into the “wire hole” so that it jams one eye of the swivel, then just trim the surplus.

Although “free” plays a part, I just think brass lost in the river is a bit more environmentally friendly than lead.

Good morning ,I have used tungsten throwaway turning tool tips that were used for machining metal , quite heavy and small.I do believe the material was used in early development of split shot.Reelmaker.

Great idea, and a good bit of recyling :Hat:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
