I like to watch the trout in Bakewell when I visit after a days walking in the Peak District. It's true they do like chips! But I've never seen the grayling. I'll have to pay more attention next time!

By the way, the Indian, just down the road into the town from the bridge, is fantastic and the owner / manager is very friendly.

He was fly fishing. Lots of ( too much) kit.
I rather suspected he should not have been there and asked him if the river had problems with poaching
I wasn’t too happy with the way he didn’t help the fish recover, it was belly up for a while but he didn’t return to the water to support it.
The wife could see I was getting a bit stroppy and dragged me away.

And of course , for those who havent been to Bakewell, dont torget the famous "pudding". Sold by a dozen shops, half of which claim to be the exclusive keeper of the secret original recipe. Far too nice to give to the trout!

Just checking. Yip, still there. Still eating chips and bread.
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.
