K P Morritts Intrepid Supreme?

Post by Cat »

Afternoon All,
I was just wondering if anyone uses a Supreme? I've just serviced and brought one back to life that's been sitting in the cupboard for some years with the intention of giving it a spin come the carp season.
Regards Cat

I use mine from time to time (I have three I think) and I do like the Supreme. Should be good for carp.

See my post "A Pike from the local Pond" I almost always use a Supreme with my Mk1v. It matched well with my 12' Sealey Floatcaster too. Over a couple of years I bought several Supremes and built one really good one by selecting the best conditioned components from each reel. I think I've mentioned before that Fred J Taylor was a fan of this reel , there is a photo of him holding a Mk1v Carp rod with one attached in one of his books, either Favourite Swims or Angling in Earnest.
