Advertising floats

Post by Bob Brookes »

Following Rotrax's thread on the Charrington Toby float I wondered just how many other floats I have that are in fact advertising a product or shop.

I will kick it off with these:-
First the Toby ones again.

A couple of floats sold by and advertising Dann of Lowestoft.

A 1947 for Dann

At a stretch I think the Allcocks Gazette floats are a homage to the Fishing Gazette, so I have included a very small one of those.

Finally an American Float advertising Early Times Distillery

Over to you chaps, there must be many more. :Hat:

I must admit I have personally seen very few 'advertising' floats, ( although I have not been specifically looking for them) but your collection is really interesting Bob! Coincidentally, as you say that some of the advertising floats were made by Auger, I am about to post some pictures of an interesting Auger fibreglass rod that I have just acquired! :Hat:

The Southwell pike bung picture posted by Fredline, must also be rare, I have certainly never seen one! It will be very interesting to see what turns up on this topic!

Not vintage but made by a forum member for me, do like a drop of the black stuff
