T.H. Sowerbutts 12ft (Barbel Rod)

Post by Ljm183 »

Bought today , this 12ft three piece split cane Sowerbutts rod
It need,s a couple of ferrules re-glued and a set of intermediate ring,s as most have signs of corrosion. The writing in Indian ink say,s "T&H Sowerbutts & Son London and 11ft which is obviously a mistake as the rod is 12ft. Writing all look,s original.

A slightly stronger version of the Sowerbutts Sprite it will make a very nice Barbel Rod.

It also came with two tip sections one stronger than the other.

You have a lovely rod there.

Excellent find, Sir. :Hat:

Ferrules done / Rings Done / a coat of varnish over the whole rod and its ready to fish with.
A couple of ferrule stoppers found for it.

It,s a very nice hollow built barbel rod, 12ft and quite powerful.
