I do enjoy my fly fishing at the right time of year. A Spring trout is a fine thing. Still yet to explore the Don extensively on the float and ‘pin. Do you fish the main river much?
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.

Hovis, the last time I fished the main river (Don) was back in 2010 during the time we had so much deep snow and subzero temps that fishing far afield was rather trying.
I fished at what is known as Salmon pastures halfway between the M1 and Sheffield city centre.
Simply park on Warren st by Washford bridge and walk thro the arched wrought iron gateway signed Five wiers walk upstream (or down if you wish.
Any swim will give you some greyling , the odd chub and maybe an odd Barbel.
Float fishing is as good as any other methjod.
