Ah, Mal also has an illustration showing the Rover and Octofloat de-Luxe being offered for sale at the same time and the prices show the Rover as substantially more expensive....I'd love to know why!...and it's probably why the Rover was eventually dropped...too expensive, perhaps?
I guess that puts the rod as very early Sixties, more likely late Fifties.
Which is a surprise to me as the Rover used that hard-to-find pale yellowy-green colour that some later rods had in the mid-Sixties.
