A wonderful account of a naughty night out on glorious Huntstrete. I wish I'd been more into carp back then.

Same here. A friend's father used to leger for carp at Henleaze Lake (Bristol) in the late 70s, whereas my mate and I used to float fish for tench by the lily pads. Carp angling held no mystique for me in those days - I wish it had.
