What can you say - genius!

I only have it on Vhs (being traditionalist). It is so magical and sums up what we do to perfection.

Favourite episode?

For me I can't split "Autumn glory", "Redmire legends" and "Monster myths"

Is Harry still out there?

I have the VHS set but have no means to watch it, so every so often I find myself watching the small trailers on youtube to get my fix. Must contact Hugh soon and get a DVD copy ordered...........

Either or both!

To be honest I would be more interested in the fish.

I asked CY about it who confirmed that although they did not see 'Harry' when they were filming they returned at a later date - without tackle and there he was bold as brass.

Ah, the greatest angling adventure ever witnessed on British television.
I remember watching the original series on the BBC (god rest it's merry soul).
My other half bought me the DVD set for my birthday last year and there's barely a week goes by where I don't put an episode on. They all all wonderful programmes, but I think my favourite was Bob's mega roach haul in 'Autumn Glory' episode. Something I could only ever dream about doing.

Shame it was never made available on Betamax and Phillips 2000, really...

I heard Harry the keeper passed away a few years ago. I also gather most of the carp have gone the same way and the lake is now virtually empty.

Sadly true. Both Harrys are gone.
Otters ravaged the fish :(
