Wallington Gudgeon

Post by Hampshireboy »

Caught this beauty of A Gudgeon from the River Wallington using my Chapmans Amwell paired with a Rapidex pin homemade Balsa float to 4lb line and size 16 with maggot. New PB and fought like a miniature Barbel. 👍🏻

That is one huge gudgeon Sir!!!! Congratulations on a magnificent fish. That is a pb that may be hard to beat. Unless, of course, you know differently!

Excellent, well done. I'm envious, I haven't caught one for years

Thanks guys, the Wally is quite well known for its Gudgeon. Some even think the record might come from here one day . I think the record is around 5 oz , and I wouldn't be surprised to hear of one at least close to that in the Wally sooner or later.
