Something different this time, i bough a vintage embossed wall decoration on a slate plate, it was made in France and made from Celluloid so i think it is from the 50s or even before that.
i took the decoration off the plate to make a mold from it and turned out very well, made a few casting impressions from it to play with. i used a hard plaster for it to make the copies.
When they where completely dry i decide to paint one with oil color and the other two in a ivory color. Next thing is finding a nice wooden olive wood plate to attach them or possible make one on a tackle box - float box from walnut.
The original piece on a thin stone plate
making the mold with a two component silicone rubber
Finished the mold and came out very nice
Every detail is taken over
Very pleased with the result so far
I painted one in oil colors
and tryed to bring out every detail
Two other ones i painted ivory to use them on a nice dark back ground

Another gem Evert. Keep-em coming.

Very nice indeed That moulding medium has picked out the detail lovely. I think the Ivory one does it best for me and I can see that on a lovely wooden plaque/shield as an award for a fishing competition or similar.
