Something I've not tried for years and years, but from memory were rather good...

Well remembered. I just had to destroy a wasp's nest. I shall go and see if I can get some...

We had, what i think, was a European wasps nest at the bottom of our garden (much bigger than normal wasps, but not hornets) that the mother in law wanted killed. The size of the grubs from that was extraordinary.

You have to know what you are doing when collecting the grubs. A mate of mine in the early eighties got badly stung when digging a wasp nest out of a bankside. We did all warn him but hey ho some folk never learn.

I've often wondered about witchetty grubs when I've seen them on tv. Wish I could get hold of some!!
