Very nice fish, will be hard to better that again, but I hope that you do, and we can all read about it. Fantastic.

Thank you OMR,Old Man River wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 8:46 pm Great achievement there ! Your gear seems exactly the right combination for the results . Spotting those tight swims is one thing , fishing them effectively and reaping the result is quite another.
Congratulations CC
OMR
The combination works very well for me and the type of water I'm fishing. The river was still pushing so with a 14g lead it allows me to flick out the bait into the main flow which then bounces it to where I want it. So long as you get the right angle on the flow, it will place the lead exactly where you want it.
I mainly fish those non cosy swims, there's a good chance they may be lurking very very near to the bank.
It is important to be aware that every fishing story...depends on the honesty of those telling it, the accuracy of their memory and the realibility of their interpretation of the circumstances.

I can imagine the rise in heartbeat that would set in when the landing net tangled, it always happens at those critical moments. Superb fish, write up and picture. Good old Chapmans.
