Maybe a hybrid with a koi carp, or some kind of pigment ailment is all I can imagine?

Probably a variation on the ornamental golden tench variety . A bit spooky!

I've not seen one quite like that before! Certainly the appearance of touch of albinism and a cross of golden, look at the eye and tail colorations, whatever it's genes it seems to have prospered. I have to say I'm not a fan of stocking ornamentals into angling waters but I know others may disagree.

Yes, Golden Tench do have these strange black markings on parts of their bodies & fins.

What is an artificial - a non-native? Carp (excluding Crucian), Orfe, Grass carp, Sturgeon species - - goldfish - ? Some are fun to catch - some it can get boring - some can do irreparable damage - Motherless Minnows!

I can't even come close to one like this, but I did once catch a tench (not golden tench) that was every bit as yellow as Homer Simpson.
My biggest fish is not necessarily my best
