Yes it is called the 24hr rod race. He is given different challenges each day. Last week he had to go to a lake and catch a 20lb carp off the top and a 20lb carp off the bottom in 24hrs. Very good :thumb:

I like this series so far.
He's doing some fairly basic and traditional style fishing for most of it.
In the first one I saw he had to catch seven species from the complex of lakes , including a strrtch of the Nene, in Northants ( forget the name of the place). It was drought conditions and hot , and he really struggled but got six species in the 24 hours he has to do it in. He even fished with a quill float on a small pond.
When he had two catch the two 20lb carp - one off the top and one off the bottom - from a lake he'd never been to before, he again used fairly basic methods - and caught two 37lb carp ( one from top , one from bottom)
At Eyebrook reservoir he had to catch either a 20lb pike or a 3lb perch. He caught two or three 3lb perch up to 3llb 12oz and about four others all over 2.5lbs - all spinning.

Definitely worth watching if you get a chance
