Stripes

Perch often have 5/6 bars, this one had considerable more. Ullswater 2016.

That`s a cracker of a perchy. It almost doesn`t look real, like an oversized lure or something.

Looks almost like the American yellow perch. Lovely fish :Hat:

Unusual....

With all those stripes, perhaps it is some sort of High Ranking Perch....

Beautiful colours. Big water perch often look so striking.

Stowe pool this afternoon, four vividly coloured Perch to a pound and a quarter. The largest had the perfectly symmetrical five stripes with a Y shaped central one. The bloody camera battery was flat, fuming! (I don't do smartphones) . It looked like a David Carl Forbes illustration, beautiful.
