I must admit the weather forecasts were putting me off the opportunity for a river trip on Sunday . But a check of the EA river levels showed all as normal down here in Sussex ( Apart from the wind and rain ! ) , but spare a thought for those in the teeth of Desmond .
Jeff Smith and I sallied forth in the good ship " Finatic " and we were soon trying for a fish . The Hardy / Gildex combination still works well and
looks great I have to say ! .
But even better when the cane is put to the limit !
A 16 lb fish that soon took a liking to the mackeral.
Here's looking at you !
