Hi Dave,

If I'm honest I don't like posting weights when it comes to Barbel, it saves a lot of hassle and from what I've seen it only attracts know it all's and very opinionated rude individuals who find it hard to make any nice comments and just want to argue with you behind a keyboard. So many get shot down and challenged after posting an actual weight, usually from the same people who have nothing better to do and are very spiteful. I have no time for people like that and no one needs to justify their weights unless you're going to press/claiming something...

I for one fish several stretches of river were barbel are very elusive, they are not easy to catch and although this is barbel number 8, it's been hard work catching them. One or two were from locations that were let's say, fished quite desperately by the same anglers day in day out, but the others were scouted and outwitted at other locations.

Sorry for the long post, and what I have written isn't about or aimed at you :Hahaha: but I thought its best to say why I don't post exact/or any weights at all of barbel these days, it's just not worth it. What I would say about this particular one is that its a very good double, a nice double indeed which I think is quite obvious to see.

Stunning fish on a great rod, congratulations. I have two Adonis rods and just love them.
