Gt Ouse Barbel
Being struck with man flu , I'd thought I'd share a couple of photos with you. These are three of 18 barbel I've caught from various locations on the Gt Ouse from mid September. Ranging in size from the lowest of 7lb 12oz to 13lb 1oz.
There are still barbel in the Ouse, no matter what people say, they are just not easy to catch.
13lb 1oz 9lb 8lb13oz

Super fish CC I drown out any 'man flu' with plenty of hot toddies of Jamiesons whisky and honey with added ginger and lime. I can also recommended a follow up dram of Jura 10 year old

Wonderful catches CC. Well done.

Stunning fish, even more rewarding from a difficult water, well done.

Re: Gt Ouse Barbel
Most of the Kennet is now devoid of Barbel too, which is a national disgrace!
The upper reaches of river Medway in Kent is one river where the barbel population appears to be on the up....
