Books That Have Been Good Company

Post by Carl Hier »

Thought I would share a few books that have been good company over the last year or so, particularly at times when it's not been possible to get to water. There'll be few surprises here. Lots of expected names are mentioned but they have all helped in their own way:
Martin James At The Water's Edge, Dick Walker The Legend
Chris Yates The Lost Diary, How To Fish, The Deepening Pool
Kevin Parr Rivers Run, The Idle Angler
John Aston A Dream of Jewelled Fishes, The Glorious Uncertainty
John Bailey In Visible Waters, Travels With a Two Piece
Robin Armstrong The Painted Stream, Split-Cane and Sable
Chris Turnbull Reflections
Maurice J Pledger While My Float's Still Cocked, Water Colours
Paul Cook Lost In a Quiet World
Robert Olsen Tom's Book
Stuart Harris A Coming of Age
Luke Jennings Blood Knots
Chris Newton A Midsummer Night Stream
Richard Digance Backwater

There are many more but a bookshelf with these on is indeed a good companion.

It's not just about the fish, if waters are calm or rough, even if the net stays dry, just being there's enough.
