Wild welsh carp & cane in Fallon's Angler Issue 20
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Angle,
not so much a shameless self plug but merely a mention of an article I have written that some here may find entertaining. It's about a quest to catch a wild Welsh carp on a bamboo fly rod and it's in Fallon' Angler Issue 20.

Really enjoyed your article. It's writing like your's that makes the magazine so enjoyable. Continually looking forward to the next issue. It hits the spot every time.

It's not just about the fish, if waters are calm or rough, even if the net stays dry, just being there's enough.

This is a place I have to visit this summer, it was on last year's list but something got in the way and most of the year was cancelled. If anyone knows of a b&b down that neck of the woods that is worth staying at, I would be much grateful.
Thanks

I have fished that very spot
It was at one of the TFF outings organised by Kingfisher ( Matt).
Nice article

So glad you enjoyed Fallon’s Angler. The current issue is set to be a good one too with an historic feature from Mr Yates, offerings from David Profumo and others and even an article on very traditional angling from little old me.The Retro Angler wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:56 pm I recently subscribed and issue 20 was my first issue.
