It could be just pure coincidence, but that angler appears to know what he is doing and bears more than a passing resemblance to Bill Quinlan...

Is there any clue printed on the fly leaf?

No clue whatsoever WM but now you mention it.... it certainly looks like Bill Quinlan... I bet Len Arbrey would have known the answer to that question.

I couldn't agree more with those who feel its Bill Quinlan, just note the fag in his mouth, his features and cap typical Bill certainly a great angler.
