The Wild Carp By Fennel Hudson

Post by Kingfisher »

I didn't know whether or not this book has been added by anyone on here. It comes highly recommended, so much so that the 50 copies he held back and took home to sell himself to close friends and family etc all went in the first weekend after he'd announced the book would be released on 16th June.

I know a few people on here have already bought copies, I must have been amongst the first to read it because I couldn't put mine down.

It really is worth the money, the words just flow and it is so easy to read it's just absolute gold!!

it can be purchased on the link below

I bought a copy for my birthday in early June but haven’t got round to reading it yet.... it does look superb though... when I’ve finished the “Idle Countryman” BB it’s the next on the list...

I couldn't agree more - I think its some of Fennels best work and well worth a read :Hat:

Just been reading Wild Carp by Fennel, in just three days, it was so absorbing, more so as many memories come flooding back from my early past, when we did catch true wildies. From just two waters, one we shouldn’t have fished, we would creep in early morning or late evening, the keeper never did discover us as we covered our retreat, as taught in the cadets. Wonderful times in a far better age.

I wonder if that the water that Fennel found where he got shot at by the keeper?

It really is an enjoyable read.
