A train to catch
Being both a fan of fishing and steam trains I saw a book in Medlars catalogue, that they sent with my Peter Stone book on the Thames. ‘A train to catch’ by Jon Berry looks at nineteenth century locos and the anglers that travelled in them to various UK fishing venues; sounds good to me. Has anyone read it please?
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......

I concur Tim, it's an excellent read. Jon told me he wanted to do a chapter about the Wye valley but it didn't happen for reasons I forget. He doesn't go into too much steam engine detail, it is much more about the journey.

Yes I have read it and it is one of my favourite books, it would probably make a good tv programme , curse Dr Beeching!!
